This workshop will break down the gender binary and provide tips and tricks for trans inclusion in all kinds of media. We'll provide a Gender 101, introducing self-identified terms and definitions from the Trans Community, approach some examples of alternative media with a critical eye for trans inclusion, highlight media produced by and for the trans community and it's allies, and offer some best practices for working with the trans community.
Participants will leave with a better understanding of the many diverse identities within the trans and gender-variant/genderqueer community, resources, and the tools to make your media projects more inclusive.
